  • Your USP answers the question “Why should I, your prospect, do business with you verses any and every other option available to me in your category.”
  • Your USP usually is about one of more of the following 5 things:

1. Price

2. Product – A product that is different than anyone else.

3. Process – You have a process that is different than anyone else.

4. Service – You provide some type of service that no one else can provide.

5. Marketing – Your marketing is substantially different.

  • The Best USPs are short and memorable.

When it absolutely positively needs to be there overnight.

  • You may not be able to come up with a great USP that is short and memorable.
  • There are 2 things that are critical in getting you USP across to your clients.

1. Consistency of message.

2. Repetition of message.

  • If your USP is going to be effective you need to be sure that every team member understands it and understands just how critical it is to you, your business and their job.
