“Are You Working “On” Your Business or Only “In” Your Business”

Jul 11th, 2011 | By | Category: Business Start-up Strategies

I can’t think of idea that has been more important to me, my job and TMS than this idea.  It has transformed TMS and my job.

The idea is to work on your business rather than in your business.  Start by putting aside 1 hour 1 day each week and spend it on marketing your business. When you start doing this you’ll be amazed at the results and before long you’ll set aside 2 hours and then more and more.

For instance, the idea here is that regardless of how great a salesperson you are working “in” your business, you are only “worth” what the best salesperson is “worth”.  But if you work “on” marketing to bring new people into your store, get current clients in more often and get people to buy more each time they come in you can multiply your value to your company many times.

  1. I like the idea of setting aside a certain amount of time for working on marketing my business. I spend a lot of time marketing my business. I spend a lot more than one hour a week on marketing. I get a lot of visitors to my website but so far no clents. I am working as many of the steps E.G. lists as I can.
